ADULT WORKSHOPS
Join the Foundry Art Centre for an evening of grown-up fun! Bring a date, a friend, bring any adult you want. No art skills needed, but you can flex those social muscles as you pick up a new creative skill. 21+ only, please. All supplies are included.
Evening Stitch ‘n B***h

Stitch ‘n Bitch with us during the Foundry’s new FREE fiber crafts club. All fiber crafts are welcome, from knitting, to embroidery, to crochet and beyond. Whether it’s your first time trying it, or you’re a pro. This is not a fibers class, but crafters are welcome to help each other out. Vibe with us as we craft, and… bitch. Join us! Stitch n’ Bitch with us during the Foundry Art Centre’s FREE fiber crafts club! All fiber crafts are welcome from knitting, to embroidery, to crochet, and beyond. This not a class-but of course all skill levels are welcome and crafters are welcome to help each other out. Stitch n’ Bitch is an inclusive environment and everyone is welcome. Figure Drawing
Monthly on Wednesdays: December 4, January 8, February 12, March 12, and April 9, May 7, June 11, July 9, August 13 | 6 - 8 pm | $15 per session
The Foundry Art Centre is offering an opportunity to draw from a live model without instruction. The Foundry will provide a model for 2 hours during which participants can practice their figure drawing at their own pace, work on incorporating a figure into an existing piece, or however they’d like to use their time. Foundry staff members – who are also practicing artists – will facilitate the session. Each session will include a series of short poses (1 – 5 min) as well as some longer poses (10 – 20min). It is recommended that participants bring tools and surfaces of their choice to the session.
Holiday Floral Arranging at the Foundry
Wednesday, December 4 | 6 pm to 8 pm | $75
Join us at the Foundry Art Centre for a fun evening of floral arranging. Enjoy a cocktail or a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice as Christine Laurentius from Blushing Bloom Designs leads you step-by-step in designing a beautiful holiday arrangement. You will walk away with floral arranging tips, some new friends, and a beautiful fresh arrangement just in time for the holidays! We will provide all of the flowers and greenery, the oasis foam and a vessel. Just bring yourself, a friend or two, and your creativity!
Macramé Door Jingle
December 14 | 12 - 2 pm | $50
In this exciting fibers workshop, abstract artist Dee Levang will introduce you to the basics of working with macramé as you make a door jingle for the holidays. Bring a date, a friend, bring any adult you want! Just come prepared to get creative and have some fun! This class is for adult students (ages 18+).
Fiber Collage with Slow Stitching
Saturday, January 11 | 1-4 pm | $65
Join artist JoAnna Jackson of Nestfeathers in this fun stitching/collage class with fabrics! Participants will use images of either a Coneflower or Cornflower as inspiration while collaging with fabrics, laces and trims (some vintage). Students will learn several embroidery stitches to use in their original creation. This is a very loose class where participants will use creativity to create a one-of-a-kind stitched piece on muslin fabric. Silver Stacker Ring Workshop with Shanika Hartrum
Saturday, February 1 | 11 am – 2 pm | $85
Artist Shanika Hartrum from Moon.u.mental Jewlery will lead you in the creation of your very own stackable rings. No experience necessary! Whether you come alone or with a friend, this welcoming and beginner friendly class is perfect for all skill levels. In this class you will create 2 or 3 sterling silver stacker rings. Shanika will introduce you to techniques such as: ring sizing, forming, soldering (with a torch), finishing, patina, and polishing. This class is open to students ages 16+. Crochet Snowflake with Mary Ann Cheng Pittman
Saturday, February 22 | 1:00 to 4:00 pm | $40
Practice mindfulness and take your beginner crochet skills to the next level as you master a beautiful crochet snowflake! In this three-hour session, Blue Sky Fibers maker Mary Ann Cheng Pittman will guide you in creating this winter beauty using simple crochet stitches. This is an intermediate skill level workshop and basic crochet skills are required to attend this workshop. All supplies provided, just bring yourself, a friend or two, and your creativity! Hardcover Accordion Book with JoAnna Jackson
Saturday, March 22 | 1-4 pm | $75
Join artist, JoAnna Jackson of Nestfeathers in a fun book making workshop! Participants will create an 8-page hard back accordion book using vintage seam binding as a closure. Students will learn proper bookmaking techniques including covering the book board and mitering the corners. Students will cover their book covers using use hand marbled papers created by JoAnna herself! The approximate size of the book will be 4.5" x 6". All supplies are included. Spring Floral Arranging at the Foundry

Limited seats available and advanced registration required so sign up today to secure your creative seat. The Foundry Art Centre does not make up or refund classes if a student misses a class.
